Benefits of IWA

Who are IWA?
IWA is one of the leading organisations in the U.K. to administer a Deposit Protection and Insured Guarantee scheme to consumers within the home improvement market. IWA is one of the founder members of the GIA and has close links to CERTASS, the self certification body for building regulations.

How does the Deposit Protection work?
At the time of placing your order or paying a deposit you should be issued with a Deposit Protection and Insured Guarantee Application Form. This document will protect your deposit, prior to the commencement of the contract / works up to 25% of the contract value (maximum contract value £20,000 - windows £40,000 - conservatories). Subject to the terms and conditions of the Certificate.

How does the Insured Guarantee work?
Once your contract has been completed to your satisfaction and you have paid the IWA approved company the balance in full, you should return to IWA the Completed Application Form from the bottom of the Deposit Protection Certificate along with a copy of your contract and proof of payment. Your insured Guarantee will then be issued for a period of up to ten years and is underwritten by FSA authorised insurers. Subject to the terms and conditions on the Certificate.
