Doors can be fully or partially opened or fully closed depending on the amount of space required. Once fully opened doors neatly stack creating valuable new space and creating an ‘open plan’ living area. All doors are produced from 100% Calcium Organic material.

Performance

Energy Efficiency

• Although BFRC Energy rating is not applicable to doors currently (anticipated early 2010) Door energy efficiency can be improved with glass specification (contact Technical for more details).

Weather Performance

• All doors are tested to the latest British/European standards for air, water and gusting performance via BSI and BBA.

Security Performance

• Doors are available to meet Secure By Design standards, this is based upon meeting the requirements of PAS24 and exceeding ‘Enhance Resistance’ testing.

Bi-Fold Doors In Timber

Our range of Timber Bi Fold doors has been developed to meet our "Durability by Design" standard selecting durable Timber species and ironmongery with profiles designed and assembled to allow drainage and ventilation.

Our timber bi-fold door system is designed specifically as an external door. Utilising 58mm thick sashes, we are able to fit high-spec locking and drainage systems giving the product long-term performance. Available with 24mm double glazed units, our bi-fold door system benefits from flush fitting sashes giving clean lines when open and closed.

Specification

Designed specifically as an external Door, our sashes are 58mm thick as opposed to the standard 44mm. This additional thickness allows for improved locking systems, drainage and stability. Available with 24mm double glazed units, our Bi-Fold Door system benefits from flush fitting sashes giving clean lines when open and closed.

Door Leafs:

Our Door leafs are manufactured from our 58mm thick residential section with 110mm wide stiles and 220mm bottom rails. Available in Sapele and European Oak (both laminated for stability) and Accoya.

Ironmongery:

Our Bi Folding Door Pivots and Carriers are manufactured using stainless steel and engineering grade plastics. Available in brushed stainless steel, a brass finish over the stainless steel finish, or powder coated to the required colour, we are able to tailor our products to suit your specification requirements.

Cill Detail:

A concealed Self Draining Cill for outward opening doors with an alternative solid timber cill.

Security:

Keyed or Non Keyed "Drop Bolts" are fitted to the internal face and our Residential Door "Secured by Design" deadbolt locking system and Security cylinder is fitted to the closing door.

Design Configurations:

Design Configurations and Sizes. Our standard range of Bi Fold Doors allows an overall width of 7 meters and a maximum of 7 door leafs (panels). Maximum Overall Height is 2.700 meters. There is a range of panel and opening configurations. Please request details.

Structural Opening:

The opening lintel must be able to carry the dead weight of the door assembly. Please request details.

Bi-folding Door Opening Options

The bi-folding door is available in a range of two to seven pane opening options creating up to a 6.4 metre aperture. Bottom running with stainless steel wheels & top rollers with hardened carbon steel bearings the easy glide system allow your door to open to either the left or right. 

With a total of 36 opening configurations you can create the perfect door for every application. Bi-folding doors can open in or out; our open out doors achieve a 600 Pascal weather rating.

High Security Features

Every door comes with multipoint locking and anti-lift blocks fitted as standard. Slave leaf locks have shoot bolts that work on a finger operated mechanism and high security hinge bolts, restrictor stay arm and magnetic catches are all available as optional extras.
